Peter Gringinger

Peter is a cultural creative, working as a radical evolutionary activist and change agent through the use of whole systems, transition and regenerative design and development to provide support through integral and participatory facilitation for individuals, groups, neighbourhoods, communities and organisations to co-create and co-design our sustainable futures of regenerative and thriving cultures, places, environments and local but globally networked livelihoods.

He has been originally trained as a geologist & hydrogeologist (University of Graz, Austria & University of Sheffield, UK) and over the years has completed advanced training and degrees in renewable energy systems (University of Auckland, NZ), various fields of environmental sciences and engineering (University of Auckland & University of Sheffield) and sustainability (Swinburne University, Australia), permaculture, regenerative design as well as facilitation and leadership (Gaia Education, Centre for Sustainability Leadership). Acquiring the knowledge and skills for his work over the years in renewable energy (geothermal), assessment and clean up of polluted land and water, waste and water resources management, and more recently in sustainability and regenerative design and development. Peter has gained extensive practical experience in many environments, projects and contexts having worked and lived in 8 countries on 3 different continents.

Peter has for some years now been involved with ecovillages and intentional communities and in 2016 he embarked on a learning journey visiting immersing himself in more than 20 different communities in North America, Europe and Asia (some of the experiences can be read about on his website).

Peter is a certified Trainer with Gaia Education, an active member of the Leadership circle of the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) Australia and a GEN Ambassador for Australia and on the National Committee of Co-housing Australia. Peter is also a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) in Australia/New Zealand and a Registered Professional Geoscientist (RPGeo) in Australia
