- [EDE - Nile,Kenya 2023](https://www.programmes.gaiaeducation.uk/ede-nile-kenya-2023): This programme is designed to bring you in close contacts to two rural Kenyan communities; Rusinga Island and Kithoka. We will be hosted by Rusinga Island Organic Farmers Association (RIOFA) and Tiriji Eco-Community in Kithoka Meru. Throughout a month, we will experience a unique EDE, bringing the African wisdom at the centre of Ecological, Economic, Social, Cultural & Spiritual as well as the regenerative design. We will bring these dimensions into practice, learning from the local communities by co-designing and co-implementing ideas and projects of relevance to the local communities.
This EDE is co-organized by the NILE journeys; hence the bio-regional element of the NILE basin is
an integral part of the learning process. Participants will unfold the treasures of what the Nile brings and will have the opportunity to connect to lake Nalubaale (Lake Victoria) one of the sources of the
river Nile.

Ellen Miles is an urban greening activist who lives and works in London. In 2020, Ellen founded Nature is a Human Right, the campaign for the United Nations to recognise daily exposure to green space as a universal right. Her book, Nature is a Human Right (DK, 2022) brings together a collection of original perspectives from the campaign's supporters – scientists, artists, activists, naturalists and writers – relating our right to nature to mental health, medicine, indigeneity, disability, racism, classism, identity, creativity and more. In her spare time, Ellen is a guerrilla gardener, organising local action in Hackney, and reaching millions on social media.

Gaia Education is glad to announce that will do an online presentation of this book hosted by Pedro Pedrosa co-CEO of Gaia Education and Ellen Miles on the 20th of July 2022. This online event is free and available within our Glocalisers Webinar Programme.
