Ross is a Canadian born, Danish businessman, author, philanthropist and economist (PhD in Operations Research), who has many years’ experience in international finance.

He is founder/chairman of Gaia Trust, a Danish foundation, which since 1987 has supported over 300 sustainability products in over 40 countries, especially the ecovillage movement (GEN—the Global Ecovillage Network) and education for sustainable design (Gaia Education). He is the former owner and director of Urtekram International, the largest organic foods wholesaler in Scandinavia, and lives on an organic farm near Copenhagen.

Ross has written several books, including one on his spiritual journey: Kali Yuga Odyssey, and one on his conversion from businessman to environmental leader: And We ARE Doing It: Building an Ecovillage Future. (See www.rossjackson.org).
